Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Tuesday that more than 14 million proud Iranians had declared their readiness to sacrifice their lives voluntarily in defence of the homeland.In a post on the microblogging platform X, the president said he, too, would stand among those willing to lay down their lives for Iran and would remain so.It is to be noted that Iran has rejected a temporary ceasefire and set out its demands. 

Tehran has called for a permanent end to the conflict, the lifting of sanctions, and compensation for losses caused by Israeli and United States attacks. Meanwhile, Iran has conveyed its response to American proposals to Pakistan, while a senior Iranian official has confirmed receipt of a ceasefire proposal from Pakistan.
