In yet another disturbing instance of rising intolerance in Modi’s India, a man was lynched on the outskirts of Mangaluru in Kanataka state for allegedly shouting "Pakistan Zindabad" during a local cricket match. The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was attacked with sticks near Kudupu. The brutal assault left him with multiple injuries, leading to internal bleeding and shock.

He was declared dead at the hospital. Confirming the incident, Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara said, "An incident of mob lynching has been reported. The individual whose identity is unknown shouted 'Pakistan Zindabad' during a local cricket match. A few people got together and beat him up. Later on, he died."

Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal said: "A case has been registered at the Mangaluru Rural police station So far, 15 accused have been arrested, and the police are on the lookout for at least 10 more individuals." This lynching is the latest in a disturbing trend of mob violence in India, often fueled by Hindutva activists.
