Children’s gala marks 75 years of China-Pakistan diplomatic tiesتازترین

A children’s gala was held here to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan, bringing together young performers from both countries in a celebration of cultural ties.

The event at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts featured 13 performances, including a violin solo, classical and folk dances, jazz dance, a piano ensemble and a recitation of an original bilingual poem in Chinese and Urdu, according to a Gwadar Pro's report.

The programme was divided into four chapters: First Encounter on the Silk Road, Symphony of Civilizations, Childhood and Vitality and Flourishing Friendship.

The gala ended with a choir performance of Sino-Pak Friendship Song.

Awards were also presented for several competitions aimed at promoting cultural and literary exchanges between the two countries.

Winners included participants in the Zhongshan Essay Competition and Chinese Classics Recitation Contest, the Gen Z Hua Xing Youth Journalist programme, and the 26th Global Chinese Essay Competition.

The event, held under the theme “75 years of enduring friendship, united in building the China-Pakistan bond”, drew nearly 500 guests, including government officials from both countries, diplomats, overseas Chinese community representatives, educators, and children and teenagers.
