The Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) on Wednesday facilitated the signing of a landmark memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Skywell Automobile, a leading global electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer in China, and Warm Waters Advisory Group Pakistan, paving the way for large-scale investment in sustainable mobility and EV infrastructure in Pakistan.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Huang, head of international business at Skywell Automobile, and Adeel Malik, general partner and CEO of Warm Waters Advisory Group. Under the collaboration, PBIT will provide full facilitation to Skywell as it establishes its investment footprint in Punjab, Gwadar Pro reported on Thursday. The signing ceremony was attended by Muhammad Muntaha Ashraf, chairman of PBIT, who reaffirmed the Government of Punjab’s commitment to facilitating foreign direct investment and promoting innovative, green technologies across the province.

“This partnership is another step toward transforming Punjab into a regional hub for electric-vehicle (EV) production and green industrial growth,” Mr. Ashraf said, adding that the provincial government is prioritizing sustainable industrialization to reduce emissions and create jobs. Skywell Automobile, one of China’s major EV and new-energy vehicle (NEV) producers, has expanded rapidly across Asia and the Middle East in recent years.

Its collaboration with Warm Waters Advisory Group marks Skywell’s first major investment initiative in Pakistan. Warm Waters Advisory Group Pakistan, a Lahore-based strategic investment and advisory firm, will serve as Skywell’s local partner, supporting regulatory compliance, infrastructure development, and market integration.
