December 31, 2025

A Pakistan embassy official and Pakistani students joined diplomats and foreign students on a day-long tour of Beijing, organisers said, as China promotes youth exchanges through heritage-themed visits and dialogue.

The group visited a photo exhibition at Longfu Temple, stopped at the Bell and Drum Towers — part of Beijing’s “Central Axis” that was added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List in July 2024 — and ended the day at the Beijing Enamel Factory, home to Jingtailan cloisonné enamelware, a craft recognised in China as national-level intangible cultural heritage.

Manzoor Ali Memon, minister-counsellor at Pakistan’s embassy in China, said the programme gave participants a better understanding of Beijing and helped strengthen ties between Chinese and foreign youth, according to the organisers.

They said more than 20 Pakistani students from Pakistan Embassy College Beijing and the University of International Business and Economics took part. The tour was held under the “Read the World Through Pages and Miles” Youth Exchange Program, launched by Contemporary World Press. Diplomats from more than 10 countries and dozens of international students and media representatives joined the event, according to Gwadar Pro.
