Police on Saturday deployed 1,500 personnel for Christmas security,with special arrangements at churches,markets,parks and major highways,officials said. District Police Officer(DPO) Suhaib Ashraf said mobile squads,elite teams,commandos and reserve personnel would patrol key areas,while thorough checks would be conducted near churches and green belts. He emphasized that all resources will be used to ensure the safety of citizens’ lives and property and no laxity will be tolerated.
