A special prayer gathering was held at the office of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference-Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter in Islamabad in which prayers were offered for the departed souls of several personalities associated with political, journalistic and social circles.  Prayers and Fateha were offered for the former Naib Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Dr Kamal, the wife of senior journalist and former President of National Press Club Islamabad Shakeel Anjum.

The mother-in-law of Hurriyat leader Dawood Khan, the mother-in-law of Sheikh Abdul Majeed, and the late father of Jamil Qureshi. Prayers were also offered for the elevation of the ranks of the deceased, forgiveness, eternal peace, and for patience and fortitude for the bereaved families. A special prayer was also made for the martyrs of Kashmir. The meeting was presided over by APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi.

Those who attended the prayer meeting included General Secretary Advocate Parvez Ahmed, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Mahmood Ahmed Saghar, Syed Yousuf Naseem, Mir Tahir Masood, Altaf Hussain Wani, Madam Shamim Shawl, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Sheikh Yaqoob, Nisar Mirza, Haji Muhammad Sultan, Raja Shaheen, Javed Jahangir, Syed Ijaz Rehmani, Mian Muzaffar, Zahid Safi, Zahid Ashraf, Imtiaz Wani, Muhammad Shafi Dar, Syed Gulshan Ahmed, Nazeer Karnahi, Muhammad Ashraf Dar, Manzoor Ahmed Dar, Zahid Mujtaba, and APHC-AJK Secretary Information Mushtaq Ahmed Butt.
