Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Adviser for Information Barrister Dr. Saif has emphasised that coordination with Afghanistan is essential to effectively curb terrorism in the region. In a statement, Barrister Saif said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the provincial government is taking serious measures to maintain law and order.

After holding tribal jirgas in Khyber and Orakzai, a Bajaur jirga  at the Chief Minister’s House, where tribal elders and key stakeholders are discussing security in the area. He added that following the All Parties Conference (APC), a series of step-by-step jirgas are being organized, culminating in a Grand Jirga, which will finalize recommendations for sustainable peace to be presented to the relevant forums. 

The KP Information Adviser stressed that establishing peace is the provincial government’s top priority, especially as the merged tribal districts are located along the Afghanistan border. He further said that public trust and cooperation will remain central to all law-and-order initiatives and that cross-border coordination with Afghanistan is critical to counter terrorism effectively.
