President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Farooq Abdullah visited the residence of the Agha family in Budgam to offer condolences over a bereavement in the family. According to Kashmir Media Service, Farooq Abdullah, speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the visit, reiterated his demand for the immediate restoration of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood, asserting, “statehood is our right, not a favour.”

He emphasized that the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir had been deprived of their democratic and constitutional rights and stressed that the restoration of full statehood was essential to uphold the dignity and autonomy.
