Hanif Abbasi vows to transform Railways into modern serviceتازترین

Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi has expressed government’s commitment to transform Pakistan Railway into a modern service that meets global standards. Talking to news persons in Lahore , he said efforts are being made to revive Islamabad-Tehran-Istanbul train service by December 31.  He said that Pakistan is going to sign an agreement with Kazakhstan and after the completion of this project, Pakistan will gain direct access to Central Asia and Europe.

He further said that an agreement has been finalized with RDMC, a company associated with the Reko Diq project, under which work will be carried out on the 884-kilometer Nokundi-Rohri track.He said that investment is being made to improve various sections of the railway tracks.
