Islamabad Traffic police challan over 150 through drone monitoringتازترین

Islamabad Traffic Police issued more than 150 challan tickets for traffic violations in first seven days after installing drone monitoring system. According to Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain (retd) Zeshan Haider, for the first time in Pakistan challans for those violating traffic rules have been issued by using drone technology. He said a total of 208 traffic violations were identified in seven days while traffic police issued tickets to 163 people and warning letters to 45. 

Drone traffic monitoring system has proven to be very effective for surveillance, Captain (retd) Zeeshan Haider said. Under this system, lane violations, red signal violations and other violations are being closely monitored, Chief Traffic Officer said. He said the scope of surveillance of drone traffic monitoring system will be extended to the entire city.  Violations of traffic rules are not acceptable in the federal capital under any circumstances, CTO Islamabad said.
