Kashmir Martyrs Day to be observed with full solemnity, reverence tomorrowتازترین

The brisk preparations are afoot across Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) state to commemorate the 95th Kashmir Martyrs Day tomorrow on Sunday (July 13) with renewal of the pledge to continue their ongoing struggle for the achievement of the Kashmiris legitimate right of self determination and for the freedom of occupied Jammu & Kashmir, official sources have said. 

It will be state holiday in Azad Jammu Kashmir on this occasion to facilitate the people and all, social, political, religious organizations and the concerned public functionaries to manage special ceremonies including the special prayer congregations for upholding of the status of the martyrs in heaven besides for the early success of Kashmiris ongoing struggle for liberation of the motherland from long Indian Illegal occupation. 

The special Kashmir martyrs day public meetings will be held in all 10 AJK districts including Mirpur, Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Bagh, Rawalakot, Sudhanoti, Bhimbher and Neelam valley and all other small and major towns and cities. In these special functions, the speakers will pay rich tributes to the Kashmiris martyrs of this day of July 13, 1931 who were gunned down by the then dogra rulers outside the Central Jail Srinagar for raising voice for the liberation of the motherland from the despotic Dogra rule, the official sources told APP here. 

The Kashmir Martyrs day is observed every year at both sides of the LoC to commemorate the supreme sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs, they gave this day in 1931 when the Dogra troops shot dead 22 Kashmiris in front of the Central Jail occupied Srinagar. A large number of people had gathered outside the jail protesting against the trial of a young man – Abdul Qadeer for treason inside the prison .

In Mirpur division, the special meetings to pay glorious tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs Day will be held on this occasion under the auspices of the National Events Organizing Committee with the coordination of various political and social organizations, the sources said unveiling the scheduled week long programs in the division besides rest of the liberated territory. 

The sources further said that to mark the day with due respect and honour, floral wreathes would be laid on the graves and mausoleums of the martyrs in local graveyard besides offering fateha for the up gradation of their status in Jannah.
