April 21, 2026

All Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will conduct intermediate examinations starting from May 6 under a complete cluster system and based on the Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) framework.  According to official details, the new system aims to enhance transparency, standardization, and conceptual assessment of students across the province.

Under the revised examination pattern, five papers of first year and six papers of second year will be conducted on E-Sheets, introducing a partially digital evaluation mechanism.  As part of administrative arrangements, superintendents and deputy superintendents will be appointed from government teaching staff, while invigilators will be hired from the private sector. Additionally, examination staff will be rotated after every two to three papers to ensure impartiality.

Sources said the date sheet for the intermediate examinations has already been issued, with papers scheduled to commence on May 6 across all boards in the province.  The examinations will be held in phases under the cluster system, where selected centers will host candidates from multiple institutions to maintain strict monitoring and uniformity.  Authorities have reiterated their commitment to conducting fair and transparent examinations, urging students to focus on conceptual preparation in line with the SLO-based system.
