Due to a dangerous spike in the Air Quality Index (AQI), Lahore has topped the list of the world’s most polluted cities once again. The AQI In Lahore has reached a hazardous level of 253, with the highest reading of 485 recorded at 7 AM in the Burki Road area.

New Delhi, India, recorded an AQI of 235, making it the second most polluted city, while Baghdad, Iraq, had an AQI of 196. Kolkata and Dhaka, the capitals of Bangladesh, recorded AQIs of 157 and 144, respectively.

In Punjab, other cities also showed alarming AQI levels: Dera Ghazi Khan at 461, Gujranwala at 421, Faisalabad at 287, and Sheikhupura at 260. Experts recommend wearing masks to protect against pollution and avoid various health risks associated with poor air quality.
