The Lahore High Court on Tuesday ordered implementation of the notification to close restaurants at 11:00 pm and markets at 10:00 pm.Justice Shahid Karim of Lahore High Court heard a case regarding smog prevention. The Lahore High Court also suggested closing commercial markets on Sunday.Further, the court also ordered to close unfit vehicles after November 7 and ordered to impound such vehicles. The court ordered to advertise orders banning HTV vehicles from running without VOX certification in the city.

DC Lahore Syed Musa Raza was appeared in person. Deputy Director Environment Ali Ijaz and other officers also appeared in the court. Court ordered ensure implementation of wedding working hours as well. These hours are being violated and one-dish meals at weddings are also being violated, Justice Shahid Karim remarked. Although, the issue of wedding meals is not related to smog but that should also be looked into, Justice Shahid Karim further remarked.

Justice Shahid Karim remarked that LDA and WASA started projects and there is no way to finish them.WASA has laid pipes at different places, which is causing accidents, Justice Shahid Karim remarked. WASA should submit the timeline of its development works and it will never be allowed to be delayed, Justice Shahid Karim ordered. The court ordered WASA to submit a timeline of development projects. The court adjourned further hearing of the case till November 7.
