Most parts of the Punjab, including Multan, were shaken by a magnitude 4.8 earthquake on Tuesday.According to the spokesman for the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the epicenter of the quake was 126 kilometers west of Multan and its depth was 55 kilometers.

On the other hand, PDMA DG Irfan Ali Kathia said that the district administrations across the province were busy checking the buildings. He further said that the PDMA’s provincial control room, as well as the district emergency operation centers, were on alert 24/7. “Information about any loss of life or property could be given on the Authority’s helpline number 1129.”
