Meta Platforms and Pakistan have launched a joint artificial intelligence training programme aimed at helping small businesses expand their digital presence and reach new customers. According to the report, the programme, launched in partnership with the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications, will provide training in AI and digital technology to more than 1,000 business owners in nine cities across Pakistan.

The initiative, called the Small Business Growth Academy, will focus in particular on women-led businesses and companies working in textiles, handicrafts and IT services. Under the programme, business owners will learn how to use AI tools to reach customers online, improve marketing and provide better customer services. Workshops and online training sessions will also be held across the country. The initiative is part of Meta’s wider small business training programme covering 12 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Officials say the promotion of digital technology and AI skills will help Pakistani businesses increase their access to both local and international markets, while supporting business growth and creating new employment opportunities. The programme is also aimed at helping small businesses adapt to the changing digital economy and use modern technology to improve their operations and competitiveness.
