NAB formally launches investigation into Kohistan corruption caseتازترین

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has claimed to have seized dozens of luxury vehicles, gold, properties worth billions of rupees, assets worth billions and large stacks of Pakistani and foreign currency. NAB has converted the inquiry into the Kohistan corruption case into a formal investigation. New revelations have been made in the Kohistan corruption case and big names have been exposed.

Contractor Muhammad Ayub has been arrested and he confessed during investigation to have made deals with people like Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Azam Khan Swati.NAB seized and froze assets worth Rs25 billion during the raid. These assets include more than Rs1 billion in cash, foreign currency and three kilograms of gold.The NAB has frozen 73 bank accounts and seized Rs5 billion from these accounts.

NAB has also seized 77 luxury vehicles including latest models of Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Porsche, Lexus, Revo, MarkX, Land Cruiser and Fortuner and the total market value of these vehicles is more than Rs940 million.NAB has also taken control of 30 residential properties, 25 flats, 12 commercial plazas, 12 shops and four farmhouses. Pent houses and 175 canals of agricultural land are also among the properties seized by the NAB. The 109 seized properties are located in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Abbotabbad and Mansehra.
