Six people were slain in two separate gunfights due to old enmity in Peshawar on Tuesday.

These firing incidents occurred in the jurisdictions of Tehkal Police Station, located on University Road, and within Sarband Police Station limits. Three members of the same family were gunned down by their rivals in Tehkal area.

The police, however, failed to arrest any of the accused involved in these two incidents. Earlier on December 29, 2025, five notorious criminals who were involved in multiple cases of target killings were killed during a police counter in Peshawar.

 According to CCPO Mian Dr Saeed, the outlaws were members of the notorious gang Najam-ul-Hassan alias Pinay and wanted by several police stations in the province in serious criminal cases, including attacking police personnel and targeting social and political personalities. On the day of the incident, police conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Daudzai.
