One dacoit died, and another received critical injuries in two police encounters in Gujranwala. These two police encounters took place in Qila Deedar Singh and Baghbanpura areas of Gujranwala. In the first police encounter in Qila Deedar Singh, one accused, who was identified as Irfan was died from the firing of his accomplices.  Irfan killed a police head constable who was performing his duties on November 27, 2025.

The other three accomplices of the dead dacoit escaped from the scene, taking advantage of the darkness. In another police encounter, which occurred in the jurisdiction of Baghbanpura Police Station, one accused, Suleman Ali, was arrested in an injured condition. The accused was involved in different snatching incidents.

The other companion of the accused fled away. City Police Officer (CPO) Dr Sardar Ghiyas Khan took notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from the Superintendent of Police (SP) City in this regard. CPO Dr Ghiyas assured that those who were involved in attacking the police will be dealt with iron hands.
