Over 2,000 more Afghan refugees cross Torkham borderتازترین

The Torkham border remained open for a seventh consecutive day to ensure the safe return of Afghan refugees.
According to border authorities, a total of 2261 Afghan nationals, including men, women, and children, crossed back into Afghanistan on November 7, 2025, after completing their registration at the NADRA Immigration Centre. The authorities further revealed that 3863 Afghan nationals were returned to their homeland through Torkham border on November 6, 2025.

Officials said that over the past six days, a cumulative 32,989 Afghan refugees have returned to their homeland from Pakistan, with a significant number of elderly individuals and young children among them. Sources added that refugees have been travelling both on foot and in vehicles, with the repatriation process continuing daily from early morning until late at night. Meanwhile, the Torkham border remains closed for regular cross-border movement and commercial activities, but the voluntary return of Afghan citizens is being facilitated without interruption on humanitarian grounds.
