Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has restored electricity supply on 71 feeders affected by recent rain and storm-related disruptions, while restoration work is continuing on the remaining 88 feeders, according to a PESCO spokesperson.The spokesperson said that power supply from 159 feeders had been suspended on Sunday due to heavy rain and stormy weather across the region.
PESCO Chief Executive Akhtar Hameed Khan is personally monitoring the restoration process on a moment-to-moment basis, the spokesperson added.Following the directives of the PESCO chief, operational teams remained engaged throughout the night in repair and maintenance work to restore electricity in affected areas.
The PESCO control room remains fully active, and all possible efforts are being made to ensure early restoration of power supply, the spokesperson said.Consumers have been advised to report power outages by calling the toll-free helpline 118. PESCO also apologized to consumers for the temporary inconvenience caused by the outages.
