Turkish Airlines decided to expand its flight operations to Pakistan with effect from October 27, 2025. According to the details, Turkish Airlines will enhance its flights to Islamabad and Lahore. Turkish Airlines will operate 14 flights from Istanbul to Lahore instead of 11 flights. The airline will also operate 14 flights from Istanbul to Islamabad instead of 10 flights.Turkish Airlines will use Airbus A-300 for the operations.
Earlier on July 7, 2025, a Turkish Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore due to a technical fault, causing panic among passengers. The Istanbul-bound flight had to return shortly after takeoff due to a malfunction. According to airport sources, as soon as the aircraft departed, a technical issue was detected.
The pilot immediately contacted air traffic control and requested permission to return. After receiving prompt clearance, the pilot skillfully and responsibly landed the aircraft safely back at Lahore Airport. Following the landing, the aircraft was moved to the parking area, where engineers began a technical inspection.
