Two brothers were shot dead when their rivals opened fire on them outside a local court and escaped from the scene in Bhawana Tehsil of Chiniot District on Tuesday. According to details, both brothers were returning after appearing in court in a murder case of a woman, namely Rani, filed against them. The dead brothers identified as Asad and Rab Nawaz sons of Suba caste Muslim Shaikh residents of Chak No 247. 

Police said that a murder case number 277/23 was registered against them. The police said that the accused were waiting for them only a few yards away from the court, and as soon as they came out of the court, the accused opened fire on them. Soon after receiving the report, DSP Ayub Sahi and SHO Rizwan Ali, along with a heavy contingent of the police, reached the site and examined the crime scene. Later, police took custody of the dead bodies and started the necessary procedure.
