The Institute of Dialogue, Development and Diplomatic Studies, in collaboration with PGD College MUST Campus, organized a Female Youth Interactive Summit titled “Kunan Poshpora – From Mourning to Mobilization” at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Palandri, Azad Kashmir.   The event saw active participation of young women, faculty, and civil society representatives.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Nimra of Mirpur University of Science and Technology stressed the pivotal role of young women in Azad Jammu & Kashmir in highlighting the plight of women under Indian occupation. She described the Kunan Poshpora tragedy as a heinous crime against humanity and urged youth to expose the contrast between freedom in Azad Kashmir and systemic humiliation faced by women in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Former Federal Secretary Inamul Haq presented evidence-based data on the Kunan Poshpora case, noting that accountability remains elusive against the 4th Battalion of Rajputana Rifles despite FIRs, medical reports, and High Court proceedings. He emphasized that Pakistan must raise such issues at international forums to protect the honor and dignity of Kashmiri women.

Prof. Masood Khan, Principal of PGD College, urged youth to utilize academic research and digital tools to highlight aggression against Kashmiri women, while Dr. Waleed Rasool called for unified action across academic, diplomatic, media, and civil society platforms to bring global attention to the issue.  The summit concluded with a lively question-and-answer session, demonstrating the commitment of young women to advance the struggle for justice and dignity for Kashmiri women.
