Gujranwala.Sahar crowned best weightlifter at Punjab Inter-Club Women’s Championshipتازترین

The Punjab Inter-Club Senior Men’s and Women’s Weightlifting Championship concluded with resounding success at the Mehmood Shaheed Weightlifting Club, Satellite Town, Gujranwala, where Miss Sahar Sibghet of Brothers Weightlifting Club was named Best Woman Weightlifter of the tournament Sohail Javed Butt Media Coordinator told while Talking to media persons.

Sahar clinched the top honor in the 58 kg category, lifting a combined total of 123 kg—50 kg in snatch and 73 kg in clean & jerk—earning both a gold medal and the championship’s highest individual accolade for women. The three-day event, held under the banner of the Gujranwala Division Weightlifting Association, was inaugurated by former Defence Minister Engineer Khurram Dastgir Khan, while Commissioner Gujranwala Division Syed Naveed Haider Sherazi presided over the prize distribution ceremony.

The championship drew a large crowd of spectators and families, adding vibrancy to the competitive atmosphere. Among the dignitaries present were Madam Nuzhat Jabeen, Chairperson of the Pakistan Weightlifting Federation, Colonel (Retd) Muhammad Asif Dar, Secretary Pwla Aqeel Javed Butt, Organizing Secretary Maqsood Amjad Rathore, Coach Azhar Amir Butt International, and senior officials including Rashid Nadeem Butt, Nazish Saleem Butt, and Muhammad Islam Natiq.
