IHC bars Anti-Narcotics Force from new recruitmentsBreaking

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday barred the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) from new recruitments until the decision of the case. The court also stayed the implementation on advertisement for recruitment of posts till final decision in the case. The court ordered that implementation of advertisement for recruitment will remain suspended till final decision. Justice Muhammad Azam Khan of Islamabad High Court issued orders on a miscellaneous petition. The court also removed objections of Registrar Office on the miscellaneous petition.

The court disposed of the miscellaneous petition while setting the main case for hearing on August 22. ANF Constable Muhammad Shafiq Khan has challenged advertisement for posts. Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Law and ANF Director General have been made respondents in the petition. According to text, the petitioner said “I have been working in the same post in the ANF for the last 10 years and no promotion has been given. “My number is 232 in the seniority list of 665 constables in the department.
