ISLAMABAD, Oct. 17: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has adopted new technology to expedite mailing of books and allied material to its students, who were enrolled for autumn, 2018 semester.
It was being ensured that the students could get the same at the earliest so that they could submit their academic assignments within stipulated time-schedule.
According to Director Admissions and Mailing, in the first phase, the books are being mailed to students of intermediate (FA).
On the advice of the Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood the mailing process was started immediately after the close the Autumn’s admissions.
A new computerized tracking system has been developed through which the student using website can simply enter his/her roll number and registration number to track the mailing package.
The relevant staff has been advised to ensure accuracy in the mailing system to avoid any inconvenience at the students’ level.
