As Pakistan and China celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations in 2026, the Prime Minister of Pakistan has established a special committee tasked with organizing a series of 72 activities throughout the year. These initiatives aim to commemorate the rich history of the bilateral relationship, while also setting the stage for future cooperation between the two nations.
The committee's activities will include the issuance of a commemorative coin and stamp, symbolizing the deep ties between Pakistan and China. The celebrations will span various sectors, including trade, cultural exchanges, and technological advancements, showcasing the multi-dimensional partnership that has flourished over the past 75 years.
In addition to the issuance of commemorative items, more than two dozen joint activities are already being actively planned. These events will be conducted throughout the year, with both Pakistan and China working collaboratively to ensure their success. The celebrations will highlight the longstanding friendship between the two countries and underscore their continued commitment to working together in the coming decades.
Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM) made a historic visit to China as the first foreign dignitary to attend the 7th Foreign Ministers' Strategic Dialogue, further strengthening the diplomatic bond between the two countries. During this visit, the DPM/FM, along with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, jointly launched a special logo to mark the 75th anniversary. This logo symbolizes the enduring partnership that has withstood the test of time, with both nations pledging to deepen their cooperation even further.
This year-long celebration is not only an opportunity to reflect on the shared history and achievements of Pakistan-China relations but also a chance to look ahead to future collaboration. The 75th anniversary serves as a reminder of the robust ties that continue to drive progress and mutual understanding between the two countries, particularly in the strategic, economic, and cultural sectors.
The successful execution of these initiatives is a testament to the ongoing commitment of both Pakistan and China to ensuring that their partnership remains strong, resilient, and adaptable to future challenges.
