Sindh and Punjab provinces received major support from development partners during July–August 2025, with disbursements totaling Rs8.13 billion for housing reconstruction in Sindh and Rs5.66 billion for rural water and sanitation in Punjab, according to the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

According to the Monthly Disbursement Report for August 2025 available with Wealth Pakistan, the Sindh Emergency Housing Reconstruction Project received Rs8,131.06 million and the Punjab Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project received Rs5,660.57 million in the first two months.

The Sindh project is categorized under emergency housing reconstruction. The Rs8.13 billion disbursed represents a significant early-year release for the program, which aims at post-disaster recovery. The Ministry’s tables show that the project is supported by the Asian Development Bank.

The Punjab project, listed under water supply and sanitation, received Rs5.66 billion. The data highlights this project as part of the social infrastructure portfolio financed by international development partners.

Together, these two projects account for nearly Rs14 billion in project inflows during July–August. They form part of the broader $3.1 billion disbursed under project aid in the first two months of FY2025-26.

By recording these flows in the disbursement report, the Ministry highlights the priority given to housing, clean water, and sanitation in the financing framework for FY2025-26.
