The Sindh provincial government has launched E-Pay Sindh platform — a centralised system designed to integrate all provincial levies under one umbrella to enhance digital governance and financial transparency.

“This initiative, spearheaded by the Sindh Finance Department, aims to simplify tax payments, improve revenue collection, and enhance the overall efficiency of public service delivery,” Bashir Memon, Director of Revenue Mobilisation Cell, Sindh, told WealthPK.

He said that E-Pay Sindh allows citizens and businesses to pay various provincial taxes and levies through a single online portal. “These include motor vehicle tax, professional tax, property registration fees, excise duty, and other provincial receipts.

By streamlining multiple payment systems into one platform, the government has made it easier for users to fulfill their financial obligations without visiting multiple offices or dealing with paperwork,” he added.

About the key features and benefits of the new facility, he said that taxpayers can make payments anytime, from anywhere, using their mobile phones, tablets, or computers.

He explained that the new system has multiple payment channels as the platform supports payments via debit/credit cards, internet banking, mobile wallets, and ATMs. He said that the new system also has real-time receipts facility, which enables users to receive instant digital receipts upon payment, thus improving transparency and record-keeping.

Memon said that the system has integration with National Registration and Database Authority and banks, and it is linked with key national databases and financial institutions to ensure secure, verified transactions. He said that the new system is aimed at boosting transparency and compliance.

“The E-Pay Sindh platform is not just a convenience for taxpayers; it’s also a critical tool for the government to reduce corruption, eliminate manual processing errors, and increase compliance. By digitising transactions and creating an audit trail, the platform enhances accountability and ensures that payments go directly into the government’s treasury,” he added.

Memon said that it will help increase provincial revenue collection and improve taxpayer satisfaction. “By making tax payments more user-friendly and secure, the government aims to build greater trust among citizens and encourage broader participation in the formal economy.”

He said that the finance department plans to expand the scope of E-Pay Sindh by incorporating municipal fees, development charges, and other government services into the platform. “There are also plans to introduce a mobile app to further increase accessibility and adoption.”

The director believes that E-Pay Sindh marks a major leap in the province’s digital transformation journey. “By integrating provincial levies on a single platform, the government is fostering a more efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric system that sets a strong precedent for other provinces in Pakistan,” he added.
