Textile exports to Bangladesh stand at $378m in Jul–Jan FY26Breaking

Pakistan’s textile and apparel exports to Bangladesh were recorded at $378 million during July–January FY26, according to the Monthly Report of Pakistan’s Textile & Apparel Exports prepared by the Pakistan Textile Council (PTC).

A five-year trend presented in the report indicates that exports to Bangladesh have fluctuated over the period under review. They peaked at $476 million in July–January 2021–22, the highest level in the series, before falling to $380 million in 2022–23 and $328 million in 2023–24. Exports then rebounded to $380 million in 2024–25, followed by a marginal dip to $378 million in 2025–26.

The report notes that Bangladesh primarily imports raw materials from Pakistan, particularly cotton yarn and cotton fabrics.

The product-wise breakdown at the HS-8 level shows that cotton woven fabric denim weighing more than 200 grams per square meter (HS 52094200) increased from $186.8 million in July–January FY25 to $203.9 million in July–January FY26, reflecting a 9.19% increase.

Woven fabric of cotton denim mixed with man-made fibers weighing more than 200 grams per square meter (HS 52114200) declined from $45.1 million to $38.5 million, reflecting a decrease of 14.65%.

Cotton woven fabric dyed with three or four threads (HS 52093200) declined from $37.7 million to $36.6 million.

Single cotton yarn uncombed (HS 52051200) declined from $21.5 million to $18.9 million, reflecting a decrease of 12.08%.

Single cotton yarn of combed fibers (HS 52051100) decreased from $18.5 million to $13.1 million, marking a decline of 29.37%.

Cotton woven fabric three or four thread twill weighing more than 200 grams per square meter (HS 52092200) declined slightly from $6.5 million to $6.4 million.

Other cotton woven fabrics dyed weighing more than 200 grams per square meter (HS 52093900) declined from $5.1 million to $3.4 million, reflecting a decrease of 32.72%.

Other cotton woven fabrics dyed weighing less than 200 grams per square meter (HS 52083900) declined significantly from $4.9 million to $1.3 million during the period.

Woven fabrics of cotton mixed, dyed (HS 52113200) increased slightly from $3.5 million to $3.6 million.

The figures in the report are based on calculations using data sourced from the Pakistan Single Window (PSW) and the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

According to the July–January FY26 data, Bangladesh remained among the top five destinations for Pakistan’s textile exports.
