Pakistani youth were among the participants who completed an eight-class-hour social practical training under the BRICS SEZ Academy International Student Exchange Program in Hangzhou, gaining hands-on exposure to BRICS cooperation and the solar industry.

The sessions were held at the China Center for Cooperation on Special Economic Zones in BRICS Countries and Advanced Solar Power (Hangzhou) Inc.

Participants studied BRICS economic and trade cooperation, took part in international security activities, and learned about the green photovoltaic solar industry through site visits and industry demonstrations, Gwadar Pro reported.

Nishat Mashood, a PhD student at Zhejiang Gongshang University, described the program as meaningful and enriching.

He said the experience provided valuable insights into BRICS economic and trade cooperation, international exchanges, security awareness and green photovoltaic and solar energy development, combining academic learning with practical industry exposure.

“I am grateful for this valuable opportunity to learn, connect and exchange perspectives with participants from different countries,” Mashood said. “I am proud to complete the program and receive the Certificate of Social Practice. Learning beyond the classroom, connecting across cultures, and exploring new perspectives.”

The BRICS SEZ Academy, an innovative initiative organized by the Qiantang District Commerce Bureau, aims to promote youth exchanges, strengthen capacity building and deepen BRICS cooperation, with the digital economy and economic and trade collaboration as its core themes.

The exchange program enables international youth to better understand China’s industrial innovation, experience the opening-up momentum of China’s special economic zones and appreciate the surging vitality of Greater BRICS cooperation.
