A friendly hockey match between Pakistan Rangers and a team from China's Guangdong Province was held at Narowal Sports City on Monday, with Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal as chief guest.

Pakistan Rangers won 3-1. National anthems of both countries were played before the match, and prizes and shields were presented afterward.

Speaking at the event, Iqbal said the match symbolised the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and China, noting that China has consistently stood by Pakistan in difficult times. He said the Guangdong team's participation would further strengthen bilateral ties and promote people-to-people contacts through sports.

The exhibition match was part of broader efforts to promote international sporting activities at Narowal Sports City and encourage youth participation in sports. Students and local residents turned out in large numbers to cheer both teams.
