COMSATS University Islamabad’s Lahore campus has signed an intent of cooperation with Everest International Expo (Pvt.) Ltd., the Pakistan operating entity of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) in Lahore, to strengthen Pakistan-China industrial cooperation and links between academia and industry.
The university announced the agreement Thursday, saying the partnership would focus on industry and artificial intelligence (AI), agriculture, automotive supply chains and technology transfer, as well as biopharmaceuticals and research and development.
The collaboration aims to promote joint research and publications, industry-driven innovation, AI-based solutions and enterprise surveys.
It will also create opportunities for students and faculty members to engage with Chinese enterprises, investors and international business networks, according to the university.
The initiative is intended to connect academic expertise with industrial needs, encourage applied research and provide students with practical experience while supporting technological innovation and economic development.
Through the partnership, COMSATS Lahore and Everest International Expo seek to expand knowledge exchange and develop opportunities for sustained cooperation between Pakistani and Chinese academic and industrial stakeholders, Gwadar Pro reported on Friday.
