Pakistan gains insights into China’s advanced hydropower standard practicesBreaking

A group of experts from Pakistan has joined the International Workshop on Development and Application of Water Resources and Hydropower Standards under the support of China’s Ministry of Science and Technology, China Economic Net (CEN) reported.

In-depth discussions were held focusing on small hydropower technical standards, green energy transition and international cooperation among professionals from various developing countries.

The program, co-hosted by Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute and the International Center on Small Hydro Power, kicked off on April 13 in Nanjing, gathering delegates from Pakistan, Indonesia, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Malaysia and other developing nations.

During the sessions, Chinese experts systematically elaborated on the international technical standard system and shared China’s experience in small hydropower development, green transition, and international standardization, including updates on ISO/TC 339 (Small Hydropower Plants), and other relevant issues.

The training integrates lectures and field visits, interspersed with case studies and group presentations.

With Nanjing as its theoretical teaching base, the program covers practical demonstration sites across Hangzhou and other regions CEN, added.
