In a major step to strengthen academic ties and promote collaborative research, the University of Gwadar (UG) and the School of International Relations at Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), China, have signed an MoU to advance joint research and academic exchange, with a special focus on Area Studies and the Coastal Belt Research Program. The MoU, signed recently in Zhuhai China, underscores a shared commitment to academic cooperation based on equality, mutual respect, and shared goals, Gwadar Pro reported on Tuesday.

The agreement outlines collaboration in research, talent development, joint symposia, and knowledge sharing between the two institutions. The agreement also envisions the establishment of joint research projects and the promotion of academic and cultural exchange activities that support the long-term development of coastal regions in both countries.
