The number of Pakistani pilgrims arriving in Saudi Arabia under the government Hajj scheme has reached 61,147 as Hajj flight operations continue successfully from different cities of Pakistan.  A spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony on Monday said that 4,875 more Pakistani pilgrims reached the holy land during the last 24 hours. 

The spokesperson said 56,408 pilgrims are currently staying in Makkah, while 30,477 pilgrims who had earlier arrived in Madinah have so far departed for Makkah to continue their Hajj journey.  He said a total of 244 Hajj flights have so far been operated from Pakistan, including 103 flights to Jeddah and 141 flights to Madinah. 

The spokesperson said 1,288 assistants and support staff have been deployed to facilitate and assist Pakistani pilgrims during the Hajj operation. He added that 25,782 Pakistani pilgrims in Madinah had so far been facilitated for the visit to Riyaz-ul-Jannah at Masjid-e-Nabwi (PBUH).
