An accused, namely Tahir Shah, was shot dead during a police encounter in Lahore. According to the details, a team of the Crime Control Department (CCD) Civil Lines was taking the accused to a location in Batapur for recovery purposes. On their way, some colleagues of the accused started firing on the police party in a bid to free him from police custody.
In retaliation, the CCD team also opened fire on the accused’s colleagues. During the heavy exchange of fire, the accused, Tahir Shah, died on the spot. CCD sources revealed that the accused, Tahir Shah, was wanted by the police in more than 150 criminal cases.
