Another acquittal for Anmol ‘Pinky’: Court orders release in CTD narcotics case Breaking

October 16, 2026

A Karachi court on Friday approved the acquittal plea of Anmol, alias Pinky, in a narcotics case. The court acquitted her due to a lack of evidence and ordered her immediate release, provided she is not wanted in any other case. This case was originally registered at the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) police station in 2018. Prior to this decision, she had already been acquitted in four other cases. In August, an Additional District and Sessions Court (South) in Karachi acquitted the alleged drug dealer in three separate drug-related cases registered at the Gizri Police Station after approving her acquittal pleas.

According to defence counsel, those cases were registered against Anmol in 2020, 2021, and 2022, and she had previously been declared   a absconder in all three. The lawyer informed the court that two co-accused, Ali and Fahmida, were already acquitted in 2024.The defence argued that Anmol was implicated solely on the basis of statements allegedly made by the co-accused. Since those co-accused were cleared, the prosecution could no longer secure a conviction against Anmol. The court observed that the prosecution failed to present sufficient evidence against the accused before granting her acquittal.
