Commissioner Dera reviews administrative, revenue mattersBreaking

Commissioner Dawood Khan has chaired a high-level meeting to review key administrative and financial affairs of the district in order to strengthen governance and improve public service delivery.The session examined progress and challenges related to revenue recovery, pending revenue court cases, land record management, and public complaint mechanisms. 

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Abdul Nasir Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Adnan Jamil, Assistant to Commissioner (Political and Development), Assistant Commissioners, and officers from departments concerned. During the meeting, Commissioner Dawood Khan stressed the importance of timely and transparent recovery of government dues, noting that enhanced revenue performance remains a top priority of the government.

He warned that negligence in this regard would not be tolerated. He further directed officials to ensure swift and merit-based disposal of cases pending in revenue courts, underlining that prompt justice is a fundamental obligation of the district administration. The commissioner also reviewed the progress of land record computerization and instructed officials to accelerate the process to ensure greater transparency and ease of access for citizens seeking land-related services.

Land acquisition cases were discussed in detail, with directions to resolve issues faced by affected individuals at the earliest, strictly in accordance with legal requirements. While reviewing complaints lodged through the Citizen Portal, Commissioner Dawood Khan emphasized that effective and timely redressal of public grievances is a key indicator of administrative performance and plays a vital role in building public confidence.

He also highlighted the need to further improve task management and service delivery mechanisms. The commissioner directed all departments to strengthen inter-departmental coordination and enhance efficiency to ensure better public services. Concluding the meeting, he reiterated his resolve to make governance in Dera Ismail Khan Division more efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric.
