Security forces carried out a targeted operation in Khuzdar on the night of September 14 and 15, killing five terrorists linked with the banned Baloch terror groups, the military’s media wing confirmed on Wednesday. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted following credible intelligence about the presence of terrorists, also referred to as Fitna-ul-Hindustan, in the area.

The security forces engaged the terrorists in a firefight that led to the killing of five individuals.ISPR reported that a large cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from the slain militants. These weapons were reportedly intended for use in carrying out future attacks in the region. The statement added that the terrorists killed during the Khuzdar operation were involved in several past attacks in the surrounding areas. 

Following the encounter, a clearance operation was launched to ensure no further threats remain. ISPR said security forces are combing the area as more terrorists may be hiding nearby.
