Imran Khan’s politics surpassed Altaf Hussain’s by 100 times: Faisal VowdaBreaking

October 19, 2026

Independent Senator Faisal Vawda, considered close to the establishment, has said that Imran Khan’s politics has surpassed Altaf Hussain’s by 100 times. He said there was a huge difference between Khan’s politics during his first 12 years and during the last 3 to 4 years. Speaking on a Geo news programme, he said he had never claimed that Imran Khan would be unable to serve jail time. He said he had stated at the time that when Khan was taken away during the summer, his supporters and friends were also aware of the matter.

Every person has some weakness, he added, citing his own weakness as smoking, but when a person takes a wrong step, they prepare for it beforehand. Faisal Vawda said he had remained with Imran Khan for 15 or 16 years, during which the first 12 years reflected a different Imran Khan, while the final few years were entirely different. He said Imran Khan was now pursuing a kind of politics that he had previously criticised in Altaf Hussain, but had now gone 100 times further than him.

However, he said, Khan’s own conduct and politics were responsible for the situation. He said sarcastically that there was no yardstick or barometer in the country for Toshakhana, stealing cars and other corruption-related matters. The real issue, he said, was the point to which the PTI founder had brought politics. He said today’s politics was full of cunning, deceit, dishonesty, lies, deception and contradictions.

Some political conduct involved bowing before the establishment and showing respect in closed-door meetings, but adopting an entirely opposite and aggressive narrative outside. The former Federal minister said that if respect was shown behind closed doors, the same attitude should be maintained in public, rather than folding one’s hands inside and trying to act like a chief outside. He said that if anyone adopted a trend of making the national anthem and the country’s flag controversial or speaking against them, it would destroy future generations and the country’s future.
