India  slammed for delayed, selective response to Red Fort blastBreaking

March 24, 2026

Analysts have criticised the Indian establishment for its delayed and selective response to the Red Fort blast in Delhi, describing it as a staged exercise aimed at scapegoating the Muslim community while diverting attention from systemic security failures. Experts say the sluggish pace of the investigation points to the government prioritizing its external mischief in Afghanistan and Pakistan over the safety of its own citizens.

“The delayed reaction proves that the security apparatus is more focused on sponsoring instability abroad than safeguarding domestic targets,” analysts said. They further observed that raids conducted in Srinagar and across the Kashmir Valley reveal a deep-seated prejudice, where residents are treated as default suspects.

These operations, they say, reflect a colonial-style mindset and reduce national security to a political spectacle, punishing communities for the failures of Indian intelligence agencies. Commentators emphasised that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has devolved into a tool for harassment rather than a professional law enforcement body.

The raids are increasingly being used as a PR exercise by the ruling BJP to project competence while masking its inability to maintain real security in the capital. The Red Fort blast, analysts argue, follows a predictable narrative commonly seen in Indian media, where Muslims are portrayed as villains in a scripted drama. Such repetitive attempts to link incidents to a particular community not only fail to address the real lapses in intelligence but also deepen societal divisions and instill fear among ordinary citizens.

Security experts also highlighted the absence of professional forensic analysis in these cases, noting that every breach is politicized and transformed into propaganda to further the ruling party’s agenda. They warned that institutionalized bias and selective law enforcement undermine public trust in the Indian state and compromise genuine counterterrorism efforts.
