Ministry of Foreign Affairs has introduced a fully digital system for document attestation, allowing citizens to apply online from home and receive electronic certificates by email after verification is completed. Under the new system, applicants will no longer need to make repeated visits to the ministry’s offices to get their documents attested. Once an application is received, the submitted documents will be reviewed and verified, and applicants will be informed about the outcome.
The system also enables citizens to pay the required fees online after the attestation process is completed. Following payment, the e-certificate will be issued to the applicant via email. The initiative is expected to save citizens time and effort while making document attestation faster and more convenient. It is also aimed at reducing queues and lengthy waiting periods associated with the traditional process.
The ministry’s move marks a step towards modernising public services in Pakistan by expanding digital access, improving administrative efficiency and making essential government procedures more accessible to citizens. The new system is expected to simplify document verification by allowing applicants to complete the process remotely, without the need for repeated in-person visits to ministry offices.
