Naqvi seeks two-year reform plans from all Interior Ministry deptsBreaking

Demanding a comprehensive two-year transformation plan for their respective departments, Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi has directed the heads of all departments under the Ministry of Interior to strengthen cooperation, communication, and coordination. According to medai reports, Naqvi gave the instructions at an important meeting of the heads of the ministry’s affiliated organisations in Islamabad on Monday.

He directed the department heads to take effective steps to protect data and improve cybersecurity. The meeting reviewed progress on plans to improve the performance of the ministry’s institutions, strengthen coordination, and introduce reforms in line with modern needs. The interior minister said the work of the Ministry of Interior was different from that of other ministries and involved unusual responsibilities.

He said newly established bodies, including the Land Port Authority, would be given full support. All institutions would be provided with the resources they needed, while their heads were expected to work together and support one another. Naqvi directed the heads of all affiliated organisations to submit comprehensive two-year transformation plans for their respective institutions.

He said the government’s goal was to fully modernise all institutions under the Ministry of Interior and make each one an example of effective and public-friendly service. He said all organisations must ensure the delivery of better facilities and quality services to the public and meet the targets set for them.
