Secretary Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani has said that the educational reforms of the prime minister have been widely welcomed by Balochistan having a difficult geographical terrain He stated this on Wednesday while briefing Balochistan Education Minister Ms. Rahila Hameed Durrani on the educational reforms interventions in ICT, AJK and GB. Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani said that the educational reforms responds to need of education reforms in the Balochistan through must interventions like curriculum change, human resource development, digitization, artificial intelligence, coding, mind games and others. He also shared the good news that educational grant money of Rs 1.2 billion under ASPIRE Program of World Bank has been transferred to the province to be utilized as per need. The Secretary Ministry of Federal Education announced that Balochistan’s schools would be solarized and insured from earth quakes and flooding alongside that free meals to students would also be initiated. He also informed the minister that more than 26 million children in Pakistan are out of school.
Ms. Durrani discussed her side of challenges faced at the ground level of Balochistan and asked the Federal Secretary help in terms of human resource as well as knowledge expertise to which he agreed to full facilitation. The Secretary Education promised not only the lagging district but also key cities like Quetta would be extended support. Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani ensured the minister of full support and promised to guide her in execution by extending as much support as possible. He instructed the SDU to develop a real time dashboard for the schools in Balochistan. Rahila Hameed Durrani was introduced to the facilities available in ICG F-6/2. She expressed her gratitude and expressed the directive to utilize this opportunity in order to adapt fast track distance learning pathways and digital initiatives through teacher training, knowledge enhancement and recruitment including induction of tech fellows other initiatives of the federal ministry of education. She also thanked the education ministry for the unwavering support in order to make educational situation better in Balochistan.
