The district police have intensified grand search and strike operations across the district under the vision of Inspector General of Police Khyber, Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed to decisively target terrorists, proclaimed offenders, and their facilitators. The latest operation was carried out under the direct supervision of District Police Officer (DPO) Kohat Shehbaz Elahi in the remote and mountainous areas of Thana Lachi.

Beginning early Tuesday morning, the extensive and targeted raids led to the demolition of several hideouts belonging to terrorists and absconders. Multiple suspects, including facilitators, were taken into custody. Senior police officials including SP Headquarters Sanober Khan, SP CTD Sadat Khan, along with personnel from the District Security Branch, Counter Terrorism Department, Elite Force, Bomb Disposal Squad, and Lady Police actively participated in the operation.

Sensitive locations were thoroughly checked, while houses and suspected compounds were searched to preempt any potential threats to public safety.Speaking on the occasion, DPO Shehbaz Elahi reaffirmed that terrorists would not be allowed to establish safe havens in Kohat.He emphasized that search and strike operations would continue without interruption to ensure lasting peace and the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
