Unidentified assailants on Monday killed a sub-inspector of police in Cantt area of Bannu. The deceased policeman identified as Ali Bahadur was performing his duty at Cantt Police Station.  Soon after the incident a police team surrounded the area and started a search operation to arrest the attackers. Earlier on December 1, 2024, a policeman was killed in an exchange of fire with terrorists who attacked a police station in Lakki Marwat. Later when the cops retaliated, the terrorists fled the scene.
