Pakistan cricket team's head coach, Jason Gillespie, has made a significant statement about his coaching future, revealing his lack of interest in taking on a permanent role as the white-ball coach. Speaking to Australian media, Gillespie clarified that while he has accepted interim white-ball coaching duties for the ongoing Australia tour, he is not seeking a full-time position in this format. Gillespie, who initially joined Pakistan Cricket as the red-ball coach, emphasized that his decision was driven by a desire to spend more time with his family. “I love coaching, but I don’t think I can be away from home for 11 months,” he admitted. Gillespie took on the white-ball role only after Gary Kirsten’s unexpected resignation days before Pakistan’s departure to Australia. Gillespie remains committed to focusing on red-ball cricket, prioritizing his personal well-being and family commitments over extending his duties in white-ball cricket.
